Curriculum Vitae

  • Farida Rustamova was born on the 4. March, 1993 in Moscow and grew up in the Azerbaijan capital of Baku.
  • She is an Azerbaijan violinist and  musician in the 3rd generation.
  • Her grandfather Said Rustamov was a famous Azerbaijani folk music composer, professor and conductor.
  • Her father Eldar Rustamov was componist, conductor and professor at the Music highschool in Baku.
  • She stepped into the footsteps of her musical  family and went at the age of six  to the music school „Leopold und Mstislav Rostropovich“, were she has got the first violin hours.
  • In the end of the same year she performed her first concert. Mstislav Leopoldovich Rostropovich was present and was inspired by her talent.
  • At the age of seven years the young violinist plays on the stage of the concert hall with "Concert a-moll" from Antonio Vivaldi with the National symphony orchestra of Azerbaijan .
  • This performance had such a great success, that Farida gets offerred to play at the same place one year later with the same orchestra "Concert a-moll" from J. S. Bach.
  • In the same year, in spring 2004, Farida takes part at 2 state competitions. She wins one competition and achieves the 2nd place at the other competition.
  • In the same year she was included in the music school for gifted children Bül-Bül in Baku in the class of Prof. Zahra Guliyeva.
  • In 2006-2008 numerous competitions, appearances and concerts follow, such as in the great Hall of music in Baku, a solo concert in the music school of Bül-Bül, with chamber orchestra in the state Philharmonic.
  • In 2007 Farida becomes a member of the state youth symphony orchestra. In 2008 she tours with them in Europe to Paris, Strasbourg and Brussels, organized by UNESCO ambassador and First Lady M. Aliyeva from Azerbaijan.
  • In the same year she won the 1st prize of the national competition of the president  G. Aliyev for „Young Musicians“.
  • Faridas name was entered in the Golden Book for „gifted children and youth people from Azerbaijan”.
  • At the age of 15 years Farida passed the examination at the Academy of Music in Karlsruhe,with Prof. N. Ehrlich.
  • In 2010 she was admitted to the Yehudi Menuhin Advancement  for Live Music of the Upper Rhine.
  • 2012 Farida continues her studies with the world-famos violinist and renowned Professor K. G. Kameda at the Detmold Academy of Music.
  • Since April 2015 Master at the University of Music in Karlsruhe in the class of Prof. Laurent A. Breuninger.
