Charitable concert to be held in Baku Catholic Church
[ 07 May 2008 17:31 ] Baku. Lachin Sultanova-APA. Concert of classical music will be held in the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Baku on May 11. APA reports that the concert is devoted to the month of St Mary. Farida Rustamova (violin) and Sabina Valibayova (piano) will perform the works by Bach, Paganini, Mendelssohn, Said Rustamov and other composers. Donations will be collected after the concertMay 11 2008.
Charitable concert took place in the Virgin Maria’s Temple with participation of violin player Farida Rustamova and Sabina Velibekova forte-piano player. They performed the works by Bach, Paganini, Mendelssohn and others. On completion of the concert the collection of voluntarily contribution was organized and funds were passed to the people with small income.
President of Azerbaijan signs order on special scholarship for young musicians

The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order granting special scholarship to three pupils of a musical school, national information news agency Azertaj reported.
Farida Rustamova ( BulBul Music School), Ramiz Sevdimaliyev (special music studio school under Baku Academy of Music) and Zakhra Yusifli (Leopold and Mstislav Rostropovich musical school No 21) were written into the “gold” book of young talents. Young musicians were also awarded by special monthly scholarship.
